A 37-year-old from Hillier is facing impaired driving charges after a crash involving several parked vehicles in Picton, according to Prince Edward County OPP.
Police said officers were called to the intersection of York Street and Elk Street shortly before 8 p.m. on May 12 after multiple reports of a vehicle hitting unoccupied parked cars.
When officers arrived, they found significant damage to several vehicles.
Following an investigation, police arrested the driver and took him to the detachment for further testing.
Robert Hele has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams, and dangerous operation.
Police said the accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle involved was impounded for seven days.
OPP continue to remind motorists that impaired driving is preventable.
