The second season of the Lennox and Addington Market is set to begin this weekend in Market Square, and organizers say the community response has already been stronger than expected.
Karen Smith shared with myFM the market has grown significantly since its first season last year.
The market will feature returning businesses alongside several new vendors, including Hearth and Home Candles, Top Cap Fungi and Rocket Dogs. Four full-time farmers are also joining the lineup this year.
Visitors can also expect live music, special events and a few surprises throughout the season. Musician Steven Tanner will return with performances supporting Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre.
One major change this year is updated hours. The market will run Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May 16 through Oct. 3.
