Annual hydrant flushing will begin this week in Amherstview and Bath as required under the Ontario Fire Code.
The work helps remove sediment from watermains, improve water quality and maintain proper pressure for firefighting.
Residents may notice temporary discolouration. If this happens, run cold water until it clears.
If it lasts more than 20 minutes, contact the Utilities Division at 613-386-7351, ext.302.
The sediment does not affect drinking water safety.
