Nominations are now being accepted for the Canadian Wildlife Federation True North Wildlife Conservation Awards, which recognize individuals, teams and organizations dedicated to protecting wildlife and habitats across Canada.
The awards highlight conservation efforts that support biodiversity, ecosystems, and long-term environmental sustainability.
Six categories are available, and nominators are encouraged to review each description carefully before submitting.
Recipients will receive a True North Wildlife Conservation Award, a $1,000 contribution toward their conservation work, and recognition at a gala event in Ottawa on October 23, 2026. Honourees will also be featured in Canadian Wildlife (English) and Biosphère (French) magazines.
Nominations are open online until May 15, 2026 at CanadianWildlifeFederation.ca/Awards.
The Canadian Wildlife Federation encourages Canadians to highlight the work of conservation champions making a difference across the country.
Community members, researchers, Indigenous knowledge holders and conservation groups are all encouraged to participate and help recognize outstanding environmental leadership nationwide across Canada today now.
