Greater Napanee Connect’s second annual Firetruck Pull in Greater Napanee is returning June 20th with a new location and a community-led funding model.
Tiffany Lloyd shared with myFM last year’s event was a big success!
Despite the weather, teams helped raise funds that supported the installation of what is believed to be Ontario’s first Veterans Crosswalk, and interest has since spread across the province.
This year’s event will move to the Best and Best Arena, offering more space for teams, spectators, and parking.
Lloyd said the organization has also changed how funds are distributed, giving the community a larger role in deciding where money goes.
Under the new structure, registration fees will be split between administrative costs and a bonus pot for the top team’s cause, while all additional fundraising by each team goes directly to own chosen cause.
Registration is available online, with one team member signing up.
Kawartha Credit Union is again sponsoring the event, with more sponsors and community partners welcome.
Lloyd ended in teasing their events still to come in 2026
