A new partnership between HART Hub HPE and Loyalist College is focused on building a stronger mental health and addictions workforce in the region.
As HART Hub HPE expands recovery and treatment services, officials say the need for trained professionals is growing. Loyalist College is helping meet that demand with new programs, including a two-year Mental Health and Addictions Worker diploma and a one-year graduate certificate.
The collaboration also includes input from HART Hub staff through the college’s advisory committee, helping ensure students gain skills that match real-world needs. Future placement opportunities will give students hands-on experience supporting people facing mental health and addiction challenges.
Officials say the partnership will create local job opportunities while improving access to care, ensuring more residents can find support and a path to recovery within their own community.
