Residents and visitors near Bath and Amherst Island are being advised that the Canadian Coast Guard vessel Des Groseilliers may carry out icebreaking operations this week.
The work is intended to ensure the cement carrier Tamarack can safely access a facility in Bath.
Authorities are reminding anyone who may still be ice fishing in the area to leave the ice immediately for their safety.
Ice conditions can change quickly during these operations, and clearing the ice promptly is essential to prevent accidents.
