The Napanee Raiders hopped on the bus Thursday night to head to Frankford and play game 3 of their semi final series with the Huskies.
After a scoreless first period, Napanee went up 1-0 in the second thanks to a goal by Andrew Carr. The Raiders then took a 2-0 lead in the second period thanks to a goal by Ben Kerr. Later in the period, Frankford scored twice within 14 seconds, and the first on the power play. The Raiders answered that with an end-to-end goal, scored by Reid Lambert, for a 3-2 Raiders lead. With 5.5 second to go and the extra man on the ice, Frankford tied the game at 3-3 sending us to overtime. The Frankford Huskies would go on to score in the extra frame to win 4-3.
Napanee Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 41 saves on 45 shots on goal.
The Napanee Raiders are 4-3 in the playoffs. In the other Todd division matchup, Lakefield leads Picton 2-0. They also played their game 3 tonight, but we did not have a final score as of the time of publication.
