A 29-year-old driver from Addington Highlands is facing charges after an impaired driving investigation in Tweed.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers received a report from a citizen around 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 about a possible impaired driver travelling north on Highway 37. Police later stopped the vehicle on Highway 7, east of Highway 37.
Officers say the driver provided a roadside breath sample and was arrested. The driver was taken to the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police detachment for further testing.
Jordan Baldwin has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80, driving with an open container of liquor, and failing to surrender an insurance card.
Baldwin was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Court in Belleville on April 9.
Police also issued a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
