It was a rare, late Monday night game for the Napanee Raiders, who hit the road to play the Panthers in Port Hope for game 3 of their Tod Division Quarter Final series.
It’s was an uneventful first period, that saw no goals, no penalties, and 11 shots on goal each. There was a little more action in the second period that saw no goals, 1 penalty against Port Hope for interference, and Napanee leading in shots on goal 14-3. The third period was another quiet one, with no goals, 1 penalty against each team, and Port Hope leading in shots on goal in the period 9-8 (Total shots 33-23 favouring Napanee.) And off to overtime we go! Nearing the half way point of the OT period, a shot from the near circle found it’s way though! Jackson Barnes with the loan game winning goal for the Napanee Raiders!
Napanee Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 27 saves on 27 shots on goal to earn the shutout.
The Napanee Raiders are 3-0 in the playoffs. In the other Todd division matchups, Frankford leads Trent Hills 2-0 and Amherstview is tied with Picton 1-1.
