A new community-based health centre is now open in Kingston, with local leaders saying it will improve access to primary care and strengthen support for patients.

The Spruce Health Hub is a partnership between the Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Ontario Health Team and the Maple Family Health Team. The team-based facility brings together a range of health-care professionals in one location to provide coordinated, continuous care.
Organizers say the hub is designed to build capacity in the local system while addressing both medical needs and the social factors that affect health, such as housing and food security.
By offering integrated services under one roof, the Spruce Health Hub aims to reduce barriers and ensure patients receive timely, connected care closer to home. Leaders say the model reflects a broader shift toward collaborative, community-centred health delivery in the region.
