A Toronto man is facing multiple charges after police stopped a stolen vehicle in Greater Napanee.
According to the Lennox and Addington County OPP, the incident happened Tuesday, February 17, 2026, just before 9 a.m. An officer on patrol on Highway 401 noticed a vehicle with a licence plate that did not appear to be authentic.
Police say the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed before exiting the highway and losing control on County Road 41 near Goodyear Road. The driver was arrested, and the vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.
Alexander Crown, 27, of Toronto, has been charged with multiple offences, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, dangerous operation, and several driving and release order violations.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
