Environment Canada has issued a weather warning heavy snowfall for Greater Napanee and surrounding areas, with hazardous winter conditions and heavy fog expected this morning. Snowfall of 10 to 15 centimetres is forecast, with snow mixing with ice pellets at times. Roads, sidewalks, and other surfaces are likely to become icy and slippery.
Heavy fog continues to reduce visibility in portions of the region, with near-zero conditions reported in some areas. Fog is expected to dissipate later this morning, but sudden drops in visibility remain possible.
Motorists are advised to drive cautiously, turn on headlights, reduce speed, and maintain safe following distances. Travel may be challenging, and delays during morning rush hour are likely. Residents are encouraged to allow extra time for travel and monitor local weather updates.
