The Southeast Public Health Board of Health held a special meeting on Tuesday, February 10, in Kingston to advance public health planning across the southeast region.
At the meeting, the Board approved hiring a third-party consultant to develop a strategic plan and help create a clear vision for the future. The Board also passed a resolution to pause further implementation of the Rural Services Delivery Strategy and all branch office closures until the strategic plan is complete.
The Board emphasized its commitment to strengthening public health in the region while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and community focus.
The next Board of Health meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25.
