Greater Napanee is investing in new vehicles and equipment as part of its 2026 budget to support core municipal services. The purchases will replace aging equipment and help staff avoid disruptions while serving residents.
New acquisitions include a $480,000 tandem axel plow truck for Public Works, a $430,000 excavator, and a $460,000 loader, all funded through the town’s levy and fleet reserves. A $70,000 by-law vehicle, funded through development charges, will support increased staff deployment, and a $20,000 dump trailer will be shared across departments, primarily for Cemeteries.
Mayor Terry Richardson said updated vehicles and equipment are essential for smooth operations. “These purchases will help ensure we are replacing items that are at the end of useful life which helps our staff avoid disruptions caused by aging equipment and vehicles.”
