A 45-year-old has been charged with multiple firearms offences following a weapons incident in Sydenham.
On December 26, 2025, at around 2:40 a.m., Frontenac OPP officers responded to a Sydenham Mill Street home after projectiles entered the residence. No injuries were reported. Investigators determined the projectiles were consistent with shotgun fire.
A search warrant at a nearby property led to the arrest of Steven McDonald and the seizure of firearms. McDonald faces charges including careless use of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, four counts of breaching firearms storage regulations, and mischief.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Kingston on February 17, 2026.
