Friday night at the Best and Bash Arena, the Napanee Raiders honoured the U11 Stars for their recent win of the Silver Stick, ahead of their game against the Port Hope Panthers.
A scoreless first period would take us to the second, where Eric Taher would score his first as a Raiders, assisted by Cole McEwen and Ryan McGee. The Panthers struck early in the third period to tie the game. The Panthers then scored their second to take the 2-1 lead. Less than 20-second later, Ryan Aldridge would score to tie the game, assisted by Jackson Barnes and Ryan McGee. To Overtime we go, where it took only 21-seconds for Andrew Carr to score, assisted by Trent Williams and Jackson Barnes. Raiders win 3-2!
Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 20 saves on 22 shots on goals.
The Napanee Raiders are in third place in the East Tod Division standings with a 23-12-2-0-1-1 record and 49 points.
The Raiders are back in action Wednesday, February 11th, when they host the Trent Hills Thunder at 8pm. Friday, February 13th, they host the Lakefield Chiefs at 7:30pm. On Sunday, February 15th the Raiders host the Panthers at 8pm.
