Officials in Greater Napanee are reminding parents to keep children away from snowbanks along roads.
Snowplow operators and drivers may not see kids due to high snowbanks and poor visibility.
While building forts is fun, safety is key. Children should play in areas far from traffic to prevent accidents and ensure a safe winter environment.
Residents are also reminded to clear snow and ice from any fire hydrant beside their property to keep it accessible in emergencies. Town staff must be able to reach hydrants quickly for maintenance or fire response.
Under the parking bylaw, vehicles cannot park within three metres of a hydrant and may be towed if access is blocked.
