The Township of Tyendinaga is asking the public to share their views as it develops a new Multi-Year Accessibility Plan covering 2026 to 2030.
The plan is required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and is meant to help remove and prevent barriers for people of all abilities. Township officials say the new plan will build on past work and aim to improve access to municipal services, programs and public spaces.
An online survey is now open to anyone who lives, works, visits, or does business in Tyendinaga. The survey focuses on customer service, information and communication, employment, transportation within Tyendinaga and the Quinte area, and access to township facilities and outdoor spaces.
Participation is voluntary, and responses will be kept confidential. Non-identifiable summaries may be shared publicly.
The survey is available in alternate formats upon request. Residents can also arrange in-person meetings with staff.
More details and the survey link are available on the township’s website.
