One person is facing drug trafficking charges after police seized suspected cocaine in Greater Napanee.
Ontario Provincial Police say the East Region Community Street Crime Unit began investigating drug trafficking in the area earlier this fall. Officers identified an individual believed to be selling cocaine.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, police arrested the suspect on Bridge Street East. Members of the Lennox and Addington County OPP Detachment assisted in the arrest. Investigators seized nearly 13 grams of suspected cocaine.
A 39-year-old from the municipality of Trent Hills has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. The accused is also charged with mischief for rendering property dangerous, useless, inoperative, or ineffective.
The individual was held in custody following the arrest. A bail hearing was scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2025, in Napanee.
