Snowy conditions across Eastern Ontario have prompted Tri-Board to cancel all school bus transportation today in North Hastings, Centre Hastings, North Lennox & Addington, Central Lennox & Addington, North & Central Frontenac, and South Frontenac weather zones. Buses may also be canceled in other zones depending on local conditions.
Schools remain open, but parents and guardians driving their children to school are responsible for picking them up at dismissal.
The cancellations come as heavy snow covers secondary and side roads, making travel unsafe for school buses. Tri-Board urges families to check their website for the full list of cancellations and delays. Students are advised to dress warmly and exercise caution while traveling to and from school, and all road users are reminded to allow extra time for safe travel.
