The Tri-Board Student Transportation Services has cancelled all school bus and taxi transportation today due to significant snowfall and hazardous road conditions. While schools remain open, parents and guardians who drive their children to school are responsible for picking them up at the end of the day.
Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Warning, predicting 10 to 15 cm of additional snowfall, with reduced visibility from heavy and blowing snow. An Alberta clipper is moving through the region, bringing snow that may be heavy at times, tapering to flurries or rain showers by this evening.
Residents are advised that travel may be challenging, with accumulating snow affecting roads and walkways and potentially causing disruptions during rush hour. Motorists should allow extra time and exercise caution.
