A 21-year-old driver from Arnprior has been charged with impaired driving after striking two parked vehicles in Addington Highlands on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Lennox and Addington County OPP say the incident happened shortly after 3 p.m. on Highway 41 in Northbrook. Police received reports of a vehicle travelling at high speed and driving erratically. The same vehicle narrowly missed several pedestrians before hitting two parked cars. Officers attended and arrested the driver.
Cohen Storie-Hein faces charges of operation while impaired by alcohol, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and failure or refusal to comply with a police demand. The accused was released from custody, had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded. They are scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Dec. 16.
