The Raiders hit the road to Lakefield Tuesday night to play the Chiefs, who it in top spot in the East Tod Division.
Napanee was up 2-0 at the end of the first thanks to goals by Mason Goodfellow on the power play, assisted by Trent Williams and Jackson Barnes, and Zered Haller, assisted by Matthew Airhart and Trent Williams. Late in the second period the Raiders were up 3-0 with Matthew Airhart scoring, with an assist by Ryan McGee and Trent Williams. The Raiders solidified their win in the third period with a goal by Carter Slaven, who was assisted by Luke Jarmin, followed by an empty net goal by Ben Kerr, assisted by Zered Haller and Ryan Aldridge for a 5-0 Raiders win!
Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 29 saves on 29 shots on goals to earn the shutout.
The Napanee Raiders are in fourth place in the East Tod Division standings with a 12-8-2 record and 26 points.
The Raiders are back in action Friday, December 5th when they’ll then host the Frankford Huskies. Puck drop at 7:30pm.
