The Town of Greater Napanee has brought back its Toys for Tickets program, giving drivers a chance to clear parking fines by donating toys for local children this holiday season.
The program runs from November 14 to December 12 and allows anyone who received a parking ticket during that period to have it forgiven. To qualify, drivers must donate a new, unwrapped toy with a receipt showing the value is equal to or greater than the set fine on the ticket. Toys promoting violence or items without receipts will not be accepted.
Participants must bring the toy, receipt, and parking ticket to the municipal office at 99 Advance Avenue. Staff will confirm the ticket is eligible before voiding it.
The town is also accepting monetary donations, including cash, coin rolls, or gift cards with receipts. The value must match or exceed the fine amount.
Accessible parking violations are not eligible for forgiveness under the program.
