The Napanee Raiders lost their pair of games this weekend, but they were both full of exciting action!

It was an exciting night Friday at the Best and Bash Arena, when the Napanee Raiders hosted the Lakefield Chiefs.
Around 13 minute into a scoreless game, a two frights broke out during one stoppage, leading to a number of penalties and game misconducts being handed out. Raiders’ Reid Lambert, Kaden Bynes, and Ryan McGee each receiving a game misconduct. Owen Hartwick and Ashton Kirwin of the Chiefs also each received a game misconduct.
The Napanee Raiders then took the lead in the first, with a goal later in the period by Mason Goodfellow, assisted by Matthew Airhart. During the second period Lakefield scored twice to tie the game then take a 2-1 lead. A scoreless third period would lead to a 2-1 Lakefield win.
Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 37 saves on 39 shots on goal.

Saturday night the Napanee Raiders hit the road to play the Frankford Huskies.
The Raiders took a 1-0 lead with less than 30-seconds to go in the first thanks to a goal by Ryan McGee on the Power Play, assisted by Mason Goodfellow and Trent Williams. Mason Goodfellow then scored the Raiders second of the night early in the second period, assisted by Matthew Airhart to take a 2-0 lead. Frankford would answer that with two of their own to tie the game. Near the half way point of the third period, Frankford scored on the Power Play to take the lead for the first time during the game. The Raiders then get back and pull even with Mason Goodfellow’s second goal of the night, assisted by Zered Haller. The Frankford Huskies then scored in Overtime to take a 4-3 win.

As of the time of publication, the Napanee Raiders are tied with Amherstview for third place in the East Tod Division standings with a 10-7-2 record and 22 points.
The Raiders are back in action Thursday, November 20th when they play game one of a home-and-home with the Pirates in Picton at 7:30pm. On Friday, November 21st they’ll then host Picton at 7:30pm.
