The Township of Stone Mills Council met on November 3, 2025, to discuss local issues, funding requests, and road safety concerns.
During the open forum, resident Rodney Hughes raised concerns about the potential closure of Ratti Road. William Carroll also spoke about the road closure and the loss of the local fire filling station. The council deferred a staff report on flooding and damage at the Mud Creek crossing on Ratti Road until the next meeting on November 17.
Council approved a $2,000 donation to the Friends of the Napanee River to support their Flowering Rush Eradication Project. The group provided an update on the project and requested township funding for 2026.
Other matters included a review of the Special Event By-law, which will return with proposed changes at a future meeting, and an update on Beaver Lake, which may become available for purchase from Infrastructure Ontario.
Council also received preliminary budget information from Quinte Conservation and passed By-law 2025-1322 confirming meeting proceedings.
Remembrance Day office closures were announced.
