Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a driver following multiple traffic complaints on Highway 401 on Friday, October 17, 2025. Calls from the public reported a vehicle driving dangerously westbound near Lansdowne shortly after 11 am. Additional reports followed as the car continued in a hazardous manner.
Officers from Leeds, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington detachments located and stopped the vehicle in Odessa. An approved alcohol screening device was used, resulting in the arrest of the 48-year-old of Montreal.
The accused faces charges of operating while impaired by alcohol and operating with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Napanee’s Court on November 4, 2025.
Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
Police thanked the public for reporting the incident and urged everyone to call 9-1-1 if they suspect impaired driving.
