Greater Napanee’s Market Square Advisory Committee invited residents to share their ideas during an open house held Wednesday night at the historic Town Hall on John Street.
The event featured several stations where community members could give feedback on how the space should be used, designed, and managed. Topics included layout, accessibility, sustainability, booking fees, and other creative ideas the committee may not have considered.
All suggestions gathered from the open house will now be reviewed to help shape the committee’s future plans. A follow-up survey is also being developed to reach residents who were unable to attend the event in person or may have had ideas since seeing the space.
While there is no set timeline for when the final proposal will be presented to council, committee members say they want to gather as much community input as possible before moving forward with the redevelopment of Market Square.
