Construction on Phase 3 of the Picton Main Street reconstruction project will resume on Monday, October 20. RW Tomlinson Limited is carrying out the work, which covers the section from Spencer Street to 100 metres north of Folkard Lane.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, with signals in place to manage traffic flow. Residents in the area will have access to their properties, and garbage and recycling collection will continue as usual.
Phase 3 includes upgrades to watermains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers, along with road reconstruction. The project will add new concrete curbs and gutters, a sidewalk, a widened asphalt roadway, and utility-pole street lighting.
The work will be completed in two parts. The first part this fall will focus on sewer work on the west side up to Fawcett Avenue. The second part in 2026 will finish the remaining sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and lighting. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
