The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board says its 2025 golf tournament raised a record-breaking $28,322.30 to support local families in need. This is the highest total in the event’s history.
Proceeds from the annual tournament go to the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic Education (ALCE) Foundation. The foundation helps students and families with urgent financial needs, including essentials such as food and clothing.
The event brings together local businesses, community partners, and supporters. Foundation Chair Leila Goyer said the tournament highlights both the fun of connecting on the course and the real impact of the funds raised for families.
The golf tournament is a cornerstone fundraiser for the Foundation. Another major fundraising effort is the 50/50 raffle, with the last one for 2025 set to launch in November.
