The first expansion team for League1 Ontario’s League2 Division is coming to Kingston!
The Kingston Sentinels, managed by Victory Group Ventures, will debut in the 2026 season.
Managing Partner Paul Barbeau told myFM this was a two year plan with a very detailed proposal.
Barbeau is glad to have a home for the team, but the long term goal is to have their own facility.
League1 Ontario is a pro-am soccer league in Ontario. It started in 2014 with 10 men’s teams and has since grown to include three senior divisions for men and women, plus a U20 division.
The Kingston team will be part the League2 Division for both men and women. Here is how it all works.
They will start with both a men’s and women’s team, with the possibility of a U20 development teams down the road.
Male and Female athletes from Napanee, Kingston, Gananoque and the surrounding area are encouraged to tryout. Dates for tryouts will be announced very soon.
