The Greater Napanee Fire Department will hold water shuttle accreditation training sessions today (August 27) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Residents may see emergency vehicles using lights and sirens along Jim Kimmett Blvd, County Rd 1, and Beachwood Rd during the exercises.
On August 25, vehicles will travel from the Best & Bash Arena to Jim Kimmett Blvd, County Rd 1, and Beachwood Rd. On August 27, the route will include Jim Kimmett Blvd and County Rd 1.
The training is essential to ensure the department can provide a reliable water supply in rural areas during emergencies. Firefighters will practice timed drills to establish and maintain water flow within specific parameters.
