Prince Edward County residents are being asked to help shape the future of local transit through a public consultation on Monday, August 18.
The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at Picton Town Hall, 2 Ross Street, as part of the municipality’s Transit Strategy Refresh. You are encouraged to register for this event online.
Participants will be able to review proposed transit improvements, see potential service scenarios, and share their feedback directly with municipal staff and transit planning consultants Left Turn Right Turn (LTRT).
The updated strategy is based on input from public surveys, interviews, social service agencies, and the County’s Transit Strategy Task Team.
The consultation will include a free baked potato and chili bar to encourage participation during the dinner hour. Free transportation is available through County Transit by booking in advance.
Those unable to attend can review proposals and provide feedback soon on the County’s Have Your Say platform.
