Residents in Greater Napanee may hear sirens Wednesday night as the local fire department holds a training session along County Road 8.
The training will take place on July 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with emergency vehicles traveling between the North Fredericksburgh Hall and Southview Public School. Lights and sirens will be used as part of a water shuttle accreditation drill.
This accreditation is vital for ensuring that firefighters can deliver a reliable water supply during emergencies, especially in rural areas where hydrants may not be available. The drill is timed and requires crews to meet specific performance standards for water flow.
The Greater Napanee Fire Department thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as they continue efforts to strengthen emergency response services and maintain safety in the community.
