Pet lovers and aspiring artists can come together at the Museum of Lennox and Addington’s Pet Portraits workshop, happening July 22 at Macpherson House. Led by local artist Angela Smith-Pollard, the event will teach participants how to draw their pets using shading, blending, and other key techniques.
All materials are included, but attendees must bring an 8”x10” black-and-white photo of their pet. The workshop is designed to be fun, welcoming, and confidence-building, with a strong focus on community connection and storytelling.
Smith-Pollard, known for removing “art fear,” previously led a successful workshop at the Museum in March. This new event ties in with the museum’s Must Love Dogs exhibit and was inspired by staff and their shared love of pets.
Only 25 spots are available. Registration closes July 20 or when full. Sign up in person, by phone at 613-354-3027, or online at countymuseum.ca.
