A new 160-bed long-term care home is officially under construction in Prince Edward County, part of Ontario’s plan to improve care for seniors and build for the future.
The facility is expected to welcome its first residents in 2027 and will offer modern, comfortable living spaces, including private rooms, home-like communal areas, and enhanced care services.
The project is supported by the province’s Construction Funding Subsidy top-up and aligns with Ontario’s goal to build 58,000 new and upgraded long-term care beds across the province.
The home will feature nursing and personal care, recreation, therapy, and spiritual support. Amenities include a hair salon, lounge, gallery, outdoor gardens, and a walking path with sitting areas.
Parliamentary Assistant John Jordan called the project a milestone for the County, helping ensure seniors get the right care in the right place.
The project also supports local job creation and economic growth while improving quality of life for Ontario’s aging population.
