Construction crews are back on Picton Main Street, as RW Tomlinson Limited resumes work between Johnson Street and 300 metres north of Spencer Street. The project includes driveway and boulevard repairs, sodding, and general cleanup. Work will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is expected to wrap up by the end of June.
Motorists should expect possible lane restrictions, increased noise, and reduced visibility due to heavy machinery. Pedestrians and drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
The work is part of a larger multi-phase reconstruction project. Phase three is scheduled for late 2025 and will cover the stretch between Spencer Street and Folkard Lane. That stage includes road rebuilding, new sidewalks, and major water and sewer upgrades.
A public information session for phase three is being planned.
