The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society wants pet owners to say thank you to their veterinary clinics in this year’s Veterinary Appreciation Contest.
Nominations are open until June 8, 2025, at vetappreciation.ca. Then, from June 9 to 15, people can vote for their favourite clinic to win.
The clinic with the most votes will receive a plaque of recognition and a free lunch for staff — a small gesture to celebrate those who help keep animals happy and healthy.
Veterinary teams across Ontario work long hours and show incredible compassion, especially during emergencies. The Ontario SPCA says this contest is a great way for communities to show how much they care.
“Veterinary professionals play a vital role in the health and well-being of our pets, and we’re excited to celebrate their dedication through this contest,” says Sara Vanderveer, Community Outreach Coordinator, Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre. “It’s our way of recognizing their incredible compassion, expertise, and commitment — and we invite everyone to nominate their pet’s clinic as a heartfelt way to say thanks.”
