Two people were taken to hospital after a serious crash on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory Thursday morning.
The single-vehicle collision happened just after 10:30 a.m. on May 29, 2025, along Highway 49, north of Lower Slash Road. A vehicle left the road and rolled over.
A female passenger was rushed to a regional trauma centre with life-altering injuries. The male driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Highway 49 was closed for several hours to allow for an on-scene investigation and reopened Thursday evening.
The Tyendinaga Police Service is leading the investigation, with support from the Lennox and Addington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and the OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
