Correctional Service Canada says an 89-year-old inmate has died at Bath Institution’s Regional Treatment Centre.
Robert Edgar passed away on May 27, 2025, from apparent natural causes while in custody.
Edgar was serving a life sentence that began on May 14, 2015. His next of kin have been notified.
Correctional Service Canada says, as with all in-custody deaths, a full review will be conducted.
