Stone Mills Township has unveiled exciting new plans to improve Yarker Riverside Park and is inviting residents to help shape its future. Working with Landscape Architect Brendan McKee and Quinte Conservation, three conceptual park designs have been created. The goal is to enhance the park in creative, sustainable ways while protecting its natural beauty.
All three designs were presented to Council in a staff report on May 5, 2025, and are now available for public viewing on the Township’s website.
Residents are encouraged to attend a Public Consultation Open House on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Yarker Riverside Park. There, they can view the plans, ask questions, and share feedback.
The Township says public input will help guide the final design and redevelopment strategy, including cost planning.
Feedback must be submitted by May 31, 2025. The community’s voice will shape the park’s future.
