Roadwork season is in full swing in Greater Napanee, as the town begins surface treatment on several rural and residential roads.
Crews have already started work on Lime Lake Road and Westplain Road. Additional work on Storey Street, Townline Road, Shorey Road, Road 1, Dollar Crescent, Switzerville Road, and Drive-In Road is scheduled to begin later in May. All upgrades are expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.
The road rehabilitation includes clearing roadside brush, improving drainage systems like ditches and culverts, processing the existing road surface, adding new gravel, and seeding where needed.
Residents may experience some traffic delays, noise, dust, and vibrations during the construction. The town says it will provide advance notice if access to any properties is affected.
Officials thank the public for their patience and say every effort will be made to reduce inconvenience and complete the work safely and on time.
