It’s ‘Proudly Canadian, Proudly Local Day’ presented by Bob Mark Equipment Sales and Rentals. We are profiling E S Hubbell & Sons Ltd.
A company known for building culverts is now helping grow tomatoes in Greater Napanee. E S Hubbell and Sons Ltd, which has operated in Ontario since 1878, has a long history of making steel products. Their Napanee branch, open since 1980, now serves as a distribution hub for both steel and plastic culverts used in infrastructure projects.
While their products are built to last, it’s their community roots that really shine. The team recently donated steel materials to help upgrade garden beds at Napanee’s Rotary Park Community Garden. It’s part of their commitment to giving back after 45 years in the area.
Branch manager Amanda Coutts says supporting local means everything, not just for business, but for building real connections. With a new local farmers market opening soon, the company is encouraging everyone to shop local, meet neighbours face to face, and keep money in the community.
