For the first time in recent memory, Lennox and Addington County Council will hold its regular meeting on Amherst Island. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Amherst Island Public School and is open to the public.
This off-site meeting follows an afternoon tour of Amherst Island by Council members. County Council has occasionally held meetings in different locations across the region, but this is the first known session to take place on the Island.
The agenda includes reports from various County departments and presentations on key issues important to Island residents. These include the County’s community paramedicine outreach program and local economic development initiatives.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on the County’s YouTube Channel following its conclusion.
