Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre is inviting the public to its 20th Annual Baby Shower and Open House on May 11, 2025. Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., this is the only day of the year the centre is open to visitors.
myFM spoke with Kelly Fraser, who told us why this time of year is the only time they open up and host this event.
As of the time of our interview, Fraser said they had 84 baby squirrels, 43 baby bunnies, and 30 baby racoons in their care. And this is the early season. Those numbers are expected to grow.
Families can enjoy tours of the clinic, baby animal feeding demonstrations, educational displays, and live music from Rubbin’ Elbows.
Guests are encouraged to bring a gift from the centre’s wish list, available at sandypineswildlife.org.
it means a lot to the team at SPWC to receive the support of the community.
