Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre is inviting the public to its 20th Annual Baby Shower and Open House on May 11, 2025. Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., this is the only day of the year the centre is open to visitors. Admission is free and the event is wheelchair accessible.
Families can enjoy tours of the clinic, baby animal feeding demonstrations, educational displays, and live music from Rubbin’ Elbows. There will also be a scavenger hunt, face painting, a silent auction, a barbecue, and local vendors. Guests are encouraged to bring a gift from the centre’s wish list, available at sandypineswildlife.org.
Director Sue Meech says community support is key to wildlife rehabilitation efforts. A 50/50 draw will also help raise funds.
Sandy Pines’ Baby Shower offers a rare chance to see the important work being done to save injured and orphaned animals.
