Two young people are facing charges after threats were made toward a school in Prince Edward County.
On April 23, 2025, around 1:30 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police received a report about the threats. The investigation, led by the local detachment with help from the Crime Unit and the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), led to two search warrants at separate locations in the county.
As a result, both youths were charged with uttering threats and were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice.
Police have not released the names of the accused due to their age.
The OPP reminds the public to report any suspicious behaviour or threats involving school safety right away. Acting quickly allows police to respond and helps protect students and staff.
