The Clarington Eagles are now on the brink of elimination after a double overtime game in Napanee Tuesday night.
After a scoreless first period, Andrew Carr of the Raiders scored first early in the second period. Clarington then tied the game. Blake Aylesworth quickly scored the Raiders second of the night to regain their 2-1 lead. Clarington again scored to once again tie the game 2-2. A scoreless third period would then send us to Overtime. The Raiders’ Andrew Carr then scored a power play goal in double overtime to take a 3-2 win! Logan Vale making 43 saves on 45 shots.
The Raiders are 14-4 so far in the playoffs and are leading the Eastern Conference Final against Clarington 3-0. The Clarington Eagles are now 12-3 in the playoffs, these two games being their first losses of the playoffs.
