Two individuals were arrested early March 13, 2025, during a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Prince Edward County. The program took place at the intersection of Highway 62 and County Road 3 at 1:00 a.m.
Officers observed a vehicle attempting to avoid the RIDE program, leading to the arrest of two suspects. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, drug-related items, and approximately $1,600 in cash.
Anthony Marini, 20, from Trenton, was charged with possession of a schedule one substance, possession for trafficking, and driving with cannabis readily available. Niah Babcock, 23, from Quinte West, was charged with possession and possession for trafficking.
Both individuals were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Court on April 2, 2025.
